Field Atlas Privacy Policy

Field Atlas respects your privacy.  This Privacy Policy describes how Field Atlas handles information of users of www.myfieldatlas.com (“Site”).  References to Field Atlas “we,” “us,” “our” in this Privacy Policy means Field Atlas, and “you” and “user” refers to individuals who access this Site for any reason.  Each time you use this Site, the current version of the Privacy Policy applies.  By visiting www.myfieldatlas.com  you acknowledge that you have read and understood the processes and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy and agree to our data collection and usage practices.  We reserve the right to occasionally update the Privacy Policy.  At such time, we will also revise the “last updated date” above.  If you have any questions, comments or concerns about this Privacy Policy, and/or the information related to this Site, please contact us at fieldatlas@agrinovusindiana.com.

 

When and How We Collect Your Personal Information

Information You Give Us
When you create a profile, we collect the personal information you provide, such as name and email address.  When you sign up for the newsletter, we collect your email address.  When you take a quiz, we collect the name of the school you attend, the year you are in school, what you are good at, what you like to do, and how you heard about Field Atlas.  You have the option of giving us your name and email address when you take the quiz.

 

Information That We Automatically Collect
Visitors to our website can browse the site without telling us who they are.   We do not collect cookies for tracking purposes.  You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies.  You do this through your browser settings.  Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser’s Help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies.  If you disable cookies, some features will be disabled that make your Site experience more efficient and some of our services will not function properly. 

This Site collects statistical information through a log file that generates reports indicating which pages were visited and how frequently, as well as IP addresses.  The developers of this Site use and disclose this information, including your IP address, to help us develop further content and features for this Site.

 

How We Use Your Personal Information
We use the information you provide for the purposes for which it was provided.  For example, if you sign up for the newsletter, we will email the newsletter to the email address you provide.  If you create a profile, we will save responses of the quiz to that profile and sign you up for the newsletter.

 

With Whom We Share Your Personal Information
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties.  This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.  We also may release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property or safety.

We also may share information about the school you attend and your year in school with our funders, but we do not include your name or email address.

Our website provides links to the websites of third parties that are not affiliated with Field Atlas.  These links may be to other educational sites that provide more information about a particular field of study or to organizations who offer internships or employment.   This Policy does not apply to those third-party websites that may be accessed through a link on this Site.  You should review the privacy policies of any third-party websites to understand how those sites collect, use and disclose any information.  Field Atlas is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of any other websites.  The linked websites, however, may collect personal information from you when you link to their websites.  To ensure protection of your privacy, always review the privacy policies of the websites you visit by linking from the Site.  

 

Security
We seek to use reasonable organizational, technical, and administrative measures to protect personal information under our control.  Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any data storage system can be guaranteed to be 100 percent secure.  If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us at fieldatlas@agrinovusindiana.com.

Field Atlas does not knowingly collect information from persons we know to be under the age of 13 without their parental consent.  If you have reason to believe that we may have accidently received personal information from an individual under the age of 13, please contact us at fieldatlas@agrinovusindiana.com.
